In Nuremberg, the aquatics products supplier presents for the first time all products of the group exclusively under the brand EHEIM. Target group specific product ranges are also part of this new strategic direction.

“EHEIM is everything”. With this motto the company spells out its new brand strategy: aquariums, filter technology, filter media and heaters, which up till now were offered as different brands (EHEIM, mp and JÄGER), will from now on be called simply EHEIM. Expressed in another way: “Quality has (now only) one name”.
With its concentration on the brand EHEIM, the company underlines on the one hand its comprehensive expertise in aquatics. On the other hand the company is helping retailers and fishkeepers worldwide to find the products they are looking for more easily.
Another strategic direction relates to the increasing trend towards marine fishkeeping. Up till now this product range consists of four aquarium combinations with easy to use technology and patented silent overflow shaft. New ones will arrive soon.
Also EHEIM will this year again show a wide range of innovative products – both the tried and tested and the new:
For instance newly optimised, tried and tested filters are being re-introduced to the product range. Firstly, the former professional I under the name “eXperience”. It is a reliable basic model for discerning beginners with a host of useful features and very low energy consumption. Secondly, “pickup” the small, practical internal filter, whose filter compartment can be easily removed from above.
Also, the battery operated “powerCleaner” has been upgraded: it gives unusually clean results with easy handling using a vertical motion and is suitable both for large as well as small surface area. A connectable LED lamp makes the job even easier.
Also re-engineered and expanded to three models is the UV-steriliser “reeflexUV”. Due to its reflector technology, it achieves 1,8 times higher performance than others using conventional technology. Because the water isn’t rerouted, there is no loss to the performance of the filter.
The “aquaLight LED” lamp already known from its use in the nano aquarium (aquastyle) can now be used for all open top aquariums. It is stylish, easy to mount on the rim of the tank, distributes the light evenly in the aquarium and combines high performance with low energy use. Also, specially designed for marine aquariums are two models named “marineLight LED”.
For fans of classic modern design we have created a new aquarium furniture combination: „incpiria“ – literally a shining gem. The furniture fronts are finished in high gloss – black or white. Clear lines and a deliberate avoidance of decorative embellishments emphasise its classic elegance. There are three sizes to choose from.
And last but not least, EHEIM is presenting „shopDesign“ to the trade visitors – its special shopfitting service for the specialist retail trade. This service comprises advice, planning and expert implementation of sales promoting, technically optimised species specific solutions. For small and large retail premises as well as for all livestock types: from aquarium shop units, through plant and terrarium units right up to units for birds and rodents.
All in all at this year’s Interzoo EHEIM is showing itself more than ever as a sophisticated full range supplier and as an international ambassador for outstanding engineering and design performance in the aquaristic market – made in Germany.

Recently the EHEIM website has also undergone a complete relaunch. The new design is now more appealing, better laid out and more intuitive. The format and technology are also designed for use with mobile devices. And naturally there is an integrated connection to Web 2.0 as well as to social media such as Twitter, Facebook and so on. In total, 14 languages are planned. The launch date activation is imminent.

As early as 2004 EHEIM, mp and JÄGER, the three big European brands in aquatics, were amalgamated into EHEIM Aquatics Group. Each one a leader in its field and a byword for quality, made in Germany. Since 2012 all products and services are managed under only under the brand EHEIM.
EHEIM, founded in 1949 by the engineer Gunther Eheim, began by manufacturing technical toys. In the 1960s EHEIM invented the world’s first aquarium suction filter and gave the ornamental fish aquarium worldwide a breakthrough.
